Funding, Support & Expected Outcomes
Funding & Support
Funding for the CECA Scotland Academy is made possible through a grant from CITB and is available from 1st September 2024 to 31st August 2028. Allocations are based on:
- The number of students enrolled
- The number of students who successfully complete the course
- Attendance at interviews
- Employment placements within civil engineering
Colleges must submit necessary documentation to CECA Scotland to access funding. While the funding covers a range of essential costs, requests for additional financial support must be submitted in writing for consideration.
Expected Outcomes
Through this collaboration, CECA Scotland and participating colleges aim to improve student skills and employability in civil engineering by delivering a curriculum that meets industry standards. This initiative will enhance student engagement through practical experiences such as industry visits and mentorship, fostering stronger relationships between colleges and the civil engineering sector. The partnership will also increase job placements for students in full-time roles within the industry. By continually refining and evaluating the programme based on industry feedback, CECA Scotland ensures that it remains relevant and effective, equipping students with the skills they need for long-term success.
To ensure continued success, CECA Scotland and participating colleges will work closely to monitor and review the programme. Regular evaluations will help refine and adapt the initiative, ensuring it remains aligned with industry requirements and delivers the best possible outcomes for students and employers alike.
