Last week Global Infrastructure hosted the CECA Scotland Academy students at one of their largest projects to date. The multi-million pound SSEN Transmission contract was awarded to them in early August and is well underway for the design and construction of two strategic storage facilities in Inverness and also Dundee which is starting in January 2024.

They held a two hour session for the students to witness live construction site activities and they met with the Global site team out on the park and also in the office, who explained the work they are currently undertaking. The students got to sit in one of the excavators and was shown the blind spots which demonstrated the importance of people and plant safety.

The students are currently undertaking an 18 week Civil Engineering Operative course through UHI Inverness so this has been very beneficial for their own learning and a great insight into the Construction Industry.

Good Luck to all the Graduates in January 24 !!!
